  5. COURSE: Rend Lake Golf Course(Fall)

  7. LOCATION: Rend Lake, Illinois

  9. JNSE DESIGN: Gordon J. Chisholm

  11. OBJECTS: Various designers; Keith Holzapfel, Mark Willett, Roger Johnson,
  12. Scott Chesney, Accolade, and quite possibly a few others. It's very hard to
  13. keep track of who did what and when they did it when it comes to objects.
  14. As Mark Willett said "after a while they seem to develop a life of their
  15. own".

  17. On the Fall version of Rend Lake, Mark Willett's autumn color pallette was
  18. used, and for the Spring version I made 2 or 3 small changes to the standard
  19. color pallette.

  21. The background used came from Keith Holzapfel's course Aberdeen. At least I
  22. started with that background, and I don't believe I changed it at any time.
  23.  
  24. THE COURSE: Rend Lake is a public course located a little more than an hour's
  25. drive from St. Louis, Missouri. Quite obviously it is located adjacent to the
  26. lake for which it is named.  It is rated as the #1 municipal course in west cen-
  27. tral Illinois.

  29.             Reference material consists of a scorecard, about an hour's talk
  30. with the course pro, a very handy little booklet that I picked up at a rest
  31. stop on the Interstate on the way to see the course, and my mermory of the
  32. portions of the course that I walked and drove by.
  33.  
  34.             Elevations are probably not accurate, but the general appearance of
  35. the course is there. The pro told me that there was probably not more than 25
  36. to 30 feet difference in elevation between the high and low points on the
  37. course.

  56.            Yardages are taken from Course Routing. Hole layouts were taken from
  57. the JNUG version of this course, and yardage on most holes was "stretched" just
  58. slightly to accomodate the Championship Tees. All holes were flattened and re-
  59. landscaped for JNSE. All objects are new from JNSE object files of various
  60. designers. Traps and all bodies of water have had their elevations changed for
  61. JNSE. All traps were deepened.
